A Weekend with Artifaqt

Hello All,

It’s Luciano. I have been in Spain for the past couple weeks staying with my girlfriend, Nadia, who lives in the city of Malaga. Last weekend, my mom was here to visit, so the three of us took a trip into the mountains. The Airbnb that we reserved looked incredibly beautiful, so I packed all of my Artifaqt favorites in preparation.

A weekend away with my mom and Nadia quickly turned into a pretty awesome Artifaqt photoshoot!

Each morning, I woke up early to wander through the surrounding countryside. I passed through fields of olive and almond trees, avocado and lemon, with the occasional fig or pomegranate tree growing alongside the road. What beautiful and delicious photo prompts! You can click any picture to enlarge the image. Freshly picked almonds and figs look pretty good in my favorite snack server - our Carved Walnut Dish!

Carved Dish

Large Splitwood Bowl

Small Handled Board

The bread on our Small Handled Board arrived by the sound of a honking horn at 8:30 in the morning on Saturday. The info book at the Airbnb warned us this sound meant fresh bread was winding its way down the narrow streets of this Andalusian pueblo.

Mangos from Malaga and figs harvested an hour earlier served in the Splitwood Bowl!

Before we left Malaga on Friday, I stopped by my favorite place in the city, the Mercado Central de Atarazanas to buy supplies for a “Spanish Classics” board that I wanted to serve. I packed our 14.5” round walnut serving board, which is ideal for putting out a large spread. These handled boards are a single piece of beautiful Pennsylvania black walnut from the Allegheny mountains.

Spanish snacks served on an iconic American hardwood!

Scallop Dish

Serveware that doubles as functional art. When the Scallop Shell is not serving your favorite culinary snacks, it becomes an artistic accent on your tabletop. A place to store you beloved jewelry or perhaps a place to prevent you from misplacing those car keys!

At night, the Airbnb had stunning ambiance. I used the opportunity to light the last Artifaqt candle that I had taken with me - The Sea Urchin!

Sea Urchin Candle

When you first light the Sea Urchin, for the first couple hours, it will cast a dark beautiful shadow on the surface below. As it continues to burn, it transforms into a warm glowing shell!

Metal Bottle Stoppers

A Mermaid Bottle Stopper that I gave to Nadia when she moved to Spain. We currently don’t have anymore of these in stock, but if you are interested in one please reach out! It’s a personal favorite of mine and we will make more if there is interest!

The subtle scent of pure capping beeswax, the dancing shadow of its shell - a unique addition to any bath time ambiance!

I hope you enjoyed some of the images of Artifaqt in action. The Airbnb was exceptionally beautiful and the fruit trees of Andalusia make the ideal photo prompts, but don’t be discouraged, Artifaqt is designed to add beauty to any setting. The joy of eating from a material as noble as Pennsylvania black walnut can be felt anywhere in the world!

Thank you for reading,

Luciano
