Cutoff Bowls
Cutoff Bowls
When we process at batch of lumber for the RH serving boards that we make, we usually start with 8 foot boards. Each platter is 14”. Depending on the grain pattern and knots of the lumber, we try to get as many serving boards as possible. Sometimes we are left with a “cutoff” at the end that is less than 14”, but still has plenty of potential uses. That is how the Cutoff Bowl was born!. In the attempt to utilize every piece of the lumber, we save these 6-10” boards and every once in awhile we make a batch of these beautiful walnut bowls.
Perfect for serving all of your favorites. From a little cheese snack to a hummus dip, these dishes can be seen as plates or bowls. We love serving olives in the 6” bowl and a larger side dish in the 7” size. The possibilities are endless.
