Sea Urchin Metal Bowl - Chef's Bright
Originally designed for Le Bernardin in NYC.
Jewelry for the tabletop, this lustrous titanium coated gem from the sea looks beautiful wherever you place it. These pieces lend a bright note that really stands out when mixed with warm wood and understated matte black metal serveware. The Sea Urchin bowls are cast in aluminum in the lost wax method and finished in Chef’s Bright, a two-step technical coating formulated for the rigors of restaurant service that never needs a polish.
Available in two finishes: Nickel and Champagne.
Care Instructions
Safe for home and commercial dishwashers.
Chef’s Bright does not need polishing. If you choose to hand wash it, follow with towel drying to avoid water spots and prolong the life of the finish. Oven safe to 400°F. Do not microwave. A quick broil is fine.
Coating
It begins with a high phosphorus electroless nickel base coat that forms a strong, reliable bond to the softer aluminum. Then a layer of titanium nitride is applied via physical vapor deposition (PVD). This advanced nanotechnology creates a food-safe, hypoallergenic exterior that resists scratches and holds its color through dishwasher cycles.
Proudly made in the USA.
